And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth?  Art thou come to destroy us?  I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

- Luke 4:33-34

.

And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God.  And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

- Luke 4:41

.

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

- Luke 17:24

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

- Acts 4:10-12

.

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.  The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

- 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.  After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.  And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.  For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

- 1 Corinthians 15:3-9

.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: that in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

The Freemason Bible

Masonic Heirloom Edition

I stumbled upon this bible quite by chance.  I never thought of Freemasonry until I randomly came across a documentary about it.  I watched it that night – and the very next day – I happened upon this version of the bible at an antique shop in Saginaw.  My curiosity was piqued, so I bought it. It reads with the language of King James and includes colorful religious artwork and other items of interest.  The Freemasonry symbol, or emblem (the compass, the square, and the letter “G”), is on the bottom corner of the cover.  Freemasonry is a fraternity of a religious nature; it is highly secretive, ritualistic and symbolic, and it instills in its members an inviolate fidelity to the Order and strong bonds of brotherhood to each other.  These rites, rituals and ceremonies result in members who are tried, tested, and prove true on their quest for Light and Truth.  This bible appears to have belonged to a gentleman who followed the Three Degrees of Blue Lodge Masonry; he entered as Apprentice, passed to Fellow-Craft, and then was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.  This edition further provides an introduction and a biblical index into Freemasonry, as well as an overview (including “Questions and Answers”) about the internal workings of it.  In addition to the above, the Order of the Eastern Star (“Female Masonry” or “Adoptive Masonry”) is herein described in some detail.  Quite separate from Freemasonry, it allows the wives, widows, sisters, mothers, and daughters of Master Masons to have access to special privileges and protections at masonic lodges.

This webpage contains the bible verses that stood out to me in my reading.
